Pati, Patni Aur Woh: Fans against the Rape Jokes of Kartik Aaryan

The Trailer of Upcoming Comedy Romantic Bollywood Film, ‘Pati, Patni or Woh’ is already out. Film is starring Kartik Aaryan as Pati, Bhumi Pednekar as Patni and Ananya Panday as Woh. In Trailer of two and half minutes, Aaryan’s Chintu exclaims how unfair it is when men are termed “rapists” when they manage to convince women to give in to their demands and have sex with them. Umm, isn’t that what “rape” is by definition anyway? If you have to trick a woman into sleeping with you, then I hate to break it to you, that’s rape. After watching the of the movie, the fans are not much happy to watch as they claimed that the trailer is embarrassing to watch as they didn’t like that the lead actor is making jokes on Rape those are not funny at all.

The fans expressed their disappointment for Kartik Aaryan through Social Media Platform, Twitter. People have to say that the Film Pati, Patni or Woh is normalising the Marital Rape by making jokes of it. Therefore, people termed it as a Regressive Movie. Although this is not something new for Kaartik Aaryan as in his both sequels of ‘Pyaar ka Punchnama’, the actor given the same awkward vibe with dialogues like “ladkiyaan hoti hi kameeni hai” and “problem yeh hai ki woh ladki hai.” In this upcoming film which is directed by Mudassar Aziz, the controversial dialogue is this “Biwi se sex maang lein toh hum bikhaari, Biwi ko sex na de toh hum atyachaari, Aur kisi tarah jugaad laga ke usse sex haasil kar lena toh balaatkari bhi hum hai.” Later, to let go of controversies, director dropped the dialogues from the movie.

This upcoming Bollywood film is going to hit Big Screen on 6 December, 2019 and it will be interesting to see that if the reaction of fans are going to remain same or will make difference even after watching the movie
