Life of Dilip Kumar as Md. Yusuf Khan
Mohammed Yusuf Khan’s father has business of fruits. Yusuf also left his studies and started thinking of doing something. So. he planned a job to set up a sandwich stall at an army club in Pune. Yusuf used to get a salary of 36 rupees per month for that. But at this stall, he brought fruits from his home and started selling them. This caused a sudden jump in his regular income. Now things were getting better that suddenly the order came that the same stall will be able to be installed in these areas only when the Government of India will give permission. Work was stopped but by then Yusuf had earned about five thousand rupees. It used to be a huge amount for that time. After this, he joined his father’s business. Due to the age of father, he started doing all the traveling work himself. Once he went to Nainital for his work. There he met Devika Rani. She was the first heroine in Indian cinema history to have kissed on screen. This scene was about four minutes long and till now is considered to be the longest kissing scene in Indian cinema. She did this scene with her husband Himanshu Roy. Devika advised Yusuf that he should go for work in movies. But Yusuf was so lost in his business that he ignored the matter.
After some time Yusuf was traveling in a local train in Mumbai. During this time, he met Dr. Masaani. He asked about his work on seeing him and after knowing everything he advised to go to films. This thing stuck to Yusuf’s mind. He thought something would happen, as till now two people have asked me to try in films. He got ready and reached Bombay Talkies. Devika Rani was the owner of this studio. He hired him for 1250 rupees.
When Yusuf Transformmed Into Dilip Kumar
Yusuf’s film journey started from here. Due to his good understanding of Hindi, English and Urdu, he was the first get Involved in writing. Gradually, he started to move towards acting. But there was an issue, the name yusuf was not like a hero. So, Devika Rani asked the writers sitting around her to suggest a name for this new boy. Names like Vasudev, Jahangir and Dilip Kumar emerged during this. But Devika liked Dilip Kumar because then actor Ashok Kumar, who had left Bombay Talkies, was a big star. Not Due to Lack of Work, But Dilip Kumar Went into Deprssion Due to Overload of Work
Dilip Kumar’s second film was ‘Pratima’ (1945). This film also had the same fate as the first one. Was In 1946, Dilip Kumar got success with director Nitin Bose’s film ‘Milan’. After this, many successful films came in his bag. Dilip Kumar’s hit list of films like ‘Jugnu’, ‘Shaheed’, ‘Andaz’, ‘Jogan’, ‘Daag’, ‘Aan’, ‘Devdas’, ‘Naya Daur’ and ‘Mughal-e Azam’ Has the distinction of being. Why the 7-year-old relationship with Madhubala broke down?
The relationship between Dilip Kumar and Madhubala started from the set of the film ‘Tarana (1951). More time passed together as time passed. Friendship happened, Love happened . All was going well, but now Dilip Kumar wanted to marry Madhubala. But Ataullah Khan, the father of Madhubala, was strongly against this relationship. At the same time, B.R Chopra’s film ‘Naya Daur’ Shooting was about to begin, in which these two stars were playing the lead. A schedule of the film was also to be shot in Madhya Pradesh. Ataullah Khan did not let Madhubala go there. His concern was that the closeness of these two would increase on outdoor shoots. If you look in terms of producer and actor, it was the breech of the agreement. Annoyed with this, B. R. Chopra filed a court case against Madhubala. In this case, Dilip Kumar gave a statement against Madhubala or simply said what has happened. After which Madhubala lost this case, she even had to go to jail. So, B.R. Chopra dropped the case at the end. This thing spoiled the relationship between the two actors. Even after many attempts, it could not be done as before and the relationship between the two ended.
Dilip Kumar could have get married earlier if he have seen the premiere of ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ a little bit earlier
Dilip Kumar at the age of 44 in 1966. He married Saira Banu. But if he had reached at the premiere of ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ a bit earlier, then he would have met Saira on the same day. Saira had told in one of her interviews that at that time, she was 12 years old. Dilip Kumar was a fan of her and was Looking forward to meeting her. She reached the premiere of ‘Mughal-e-Azam’. But Dilip sahib did not come there. after this, Saira’s entered into Indian cinema as a heroine of hit films. She was cast opposite Dilip Kumar in a film, but Dilip Sahab refused, saying that this heroine is very young. It will not look good on screen with her. In those days, Saira was madly in love with actor Rajendra Kumar. But Rajendra Kumar was a married man. Saira’s mother used to be very upset by this. She was married to Saira Banu. Suddenly one day Dilip Kumar told Saira that “Saira, you are not the kind of girl with whom I would like to go on a drive or show up with you. You are the girl I would like to marry. Will you marry me ?”
In response, Saira asked Dilip Kumar only one question. She only asked how many girls had he said this. However, she said yes to marriage. In the year 1966, both of them got married. At that time, Dilip Kumar was 44 years old and Saira Banu was 22 years old.

This woman was Asma Rehman, whom Dilip Kumar met during a cricket match in Hyderabad. Everything happened very fast between these two and in 1981 both of them got married. However, Saira was aware about their affair. But this marriage did not last long. In 1983, Dilip Kumar divorced Asma. And again married Saira Bano. Since then, both have been together.
